knitting school dropout

unless i change my mind at the last minute and designate it as evening wear, fad-classic is destined for the dye pot. what may be a subtle color difference at night, is unfortunately glaringly obvious on a sunny day. it's too bad, cause i kinda like it.

details:
pattern: fad-classic from knit and tonic
yarn: tahki cotton classic, 4.5 skeins, dark grey, 2 different dye lots, wahhhh
needles: denise circs, size 6, inox us4 for ribbing
i knit the 34" size and followed the pattern exactly until under the bust, then winged it, increase/decrease wise, for no particular reason. i just have a short attention span for following patterns. i think i made it longer than it was supposed to be, but that's a good thing. it fits snug, and i think that's a good thing also.
i started the embossed leaves socks from the winter 2005 IK this weekend. i'm using this koigu:

i'm only on the twisted rib at the moment, and i think i'm going to finish the lace tank before i jump into the lace portion of the sock. unfortunately i've had one of those one-eye headaches since yesterday, not exactly conducive to knitting, or anything i like to do for that matter, except going to bed. goodnight!
