could this be the year...
that i become a project finisher?
i've finished the body and am on to the first sleeve. i've also made a ton of progress on a bunch of smaller projects that i'll post about soon.

today i had the unpleasant experience of having my annual physical. it's not the man-handling of my thyroid or the procurement of blood samples that gets me. it's the pap smear, ladies. i think an old friend put it best when she said: "that shit is medieval!". it really is. take a look at the tools that have been used for hundreds of years and you'll find that they haven't changed all that much.
i think i had a point here...oh yeah. well while i was on the table, the nurse practitioner, who happens to be a knitter and is completely aware of the fact that i am freaking out, says to me: "why don't we talk about knitting?". man, i LOVE to talk about knitting. i almost never have the opportunity to talk about it with another knitter, but i'm not sure i want to talk about it while wearing only a johnny and with my legs in stirrups. know what i mean?
in the end, i did tell her about the norwegian mittens. turns out, she's a Zimmermann fan too.

You won't believe this but I get so freaked out by those that I knit DURING them. It just helps me take my mind off of the terrible invasion. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude and I'm way into women's health but it just feels wrong. That sweater looks fabulous.
Are you free in the upcoming weeks? Cinemaknits just moved to the area and I was going to suggest a knit-together somewhere...

Medieval is right! At least you got to talk about knitting. At my first exam the Doc was compelled to sing "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" in honor of my name. Just when I thought I could't hate the song more a bizarro gyno took it to the next level.
The sweater is looking good.

Where did the sweater pattern come from please?
I would like to "morph" it into a t-shirt pattern. I haven't had much luck with the neck/collars of t-shirts.
And yours is just gorgeous!

This sweater is absolutely beautiful. I love the color, as initially I thought it was a brown/rust tone. Very Very pretty.
