the pictures aren't great, but if i have to wait for the weather to cooperate, there won't be any for awhile.

i wish i could capture just how insanely gorgeous this yarn is. it's officially my favorite yarn ever.

pattern: leaf lace shawl from fibertrends, designed by evelyn clark
yarn: handmaiden sea silk (70%silk 30%seacell), 1 skein in the ebony colorway
needles: us5 addi turbo 40"
thoughts: someday i will take this out into the sunshine and take some better photos. this yarn is so amazing. i was a little worried that one skein wouldn't be enough, but i wanted only a small shawl and i ended up with a little left over. it's a perfect size for me.
the pattern is really easy as far as lace goes. it contains both written and charted instructions and the result is so pretty. i can't wait 'til i can find an excuse to wear it!

Wow, sun or no sun...That is gorgeous! Lace is my next project to tackle. Very inspiring. ( your hat is pretty cute too ;)

wow, it's stunning! you did a great job. i just started the clementine shawlette from the new interweave with some seasilk (an ivory color) and i'm already in love with the yarn too. i think i'm going to buy more this weekend!

very pretty! i so want some of that sea silk! i wish i could find a LYS around here that sold it.

Man that turned out great!! I am so ready to try some of that sea silk. All these glowing reviews have me ready to bust my attempt at destashing!

Oh my gosh!! I love that shawl! I'm not a shawl wearer but if I were to make one for myself, it would be that size. It's perfect! I'm glad to hear how much you love that yarn. It seems so interesting to me and I've been wanting to try it. A one skein project would be perfect.

This is fantastic! I found the link to your blog on Craftster and I really love all the projects, you've done a great job.

It looks fabulous! I have a skein of this yarn for a swallowtail shawl, can't wait now i've seen yours lookin so lovely!

I always am wary of knitting a lace shawl (doesn't quite fit into the jeans/t-shirt regime I have) but all the ladies I work with at the store wear them with everything and they look GREAT. Don't look for an excuse to wear it -- its beautiful and needs to be shown off!

I also love the hat -- the shouchy beret thing is one trend I have really gotten into!

Whats next? :)

Beautiful work. I ordered this pattern and cannot wait until it arrives. I wish a LYS around here sold sea silk.

Just beautiful! The yarn is absolutely gorgeous. You did a great job!

I just started one myself and really like the size of yours. How many pattern repeats did you do?
