snowed in
just a few more rows...

then i can sew these on:

the buttons are vintage, and i was lucky enough to find 17 of them in my stash. usually i can't even find 4 of the same.
i'm hoping to finish up tonight or tomorrow. the weather is crap, which is a good enough reason to stay in, knit, and listen to the kings of convenience and this american life on my ipod
. i've already shoveled once and am about to head out again.
at least i'm making use of all my knitted accessories.

Spoken like a true knitter. Sometimes, on my bitter longing-for-sunshine-and-green-grass days, I suspect that's the best part of winter.

that sweater is looking awesome. your vintage buttons really add the perfect finishing touch to everything!
have you heard this american life #322: "shouting across the divide"? i got it on the podcast on 12.16, but i am sure you can find it on the website, too. one of the best ones ever. (prepare to shed a few tears, though).

Can't wait to see it finished! I'm having a love affair with pink and red, and blue and green at the moment. Breakin the rules, yeah!

It's looking great! It looks like you knit the button bands on as you went rather than after the fact. I wonder if that will improve the gappiness that I found to be a problem!? I'll be interested to see how yours comes out.
