remember this?
while i was pulling my warm weather clothes out of the closet, i found this:

it's my leaf t-shirt, that i made last may.
then i was wasting hours browsing on flickr, and i found this version. isn't it cute in brown?
look: bonnie is knitting one right now!
i just finished knitting the body of my arrowhead lace cardigan, next stop, sleeves. maybe i'll have a finished object in the next few days, although i haven't even thought about which buttons i'll use. you can see progress photos from earlier this week here.
were you a Sassy reader too? i read Sassy from the very first issue, which came out when i was in junior high. today i found out about this book and immediately ran out to buy it.
one last random thing. i watched Volver last night. it was fantastic.
that will be all. :)

Awesome green! I'd never seen this pattern before -- it's lovely.
And OMG, Sassy! Thanks for the link! I remember my BFF and I would always go straight to the "cute band alert" ... she is definitely getting this book for her bday. :)

Don't you look cute in that top!
OMG....Sassy!!! I LOVED Sassy big time. I remember I would save every issue and cut out pictures I loved and tape them all over my room. I poured through the articles time and time again (of course, I never cut out pictures that interfered with the good articles). How I wish I had kept those issues to read today, and how I wish it were still in print.

That is a very cute top. I'll have to check it out...:D
I am dying to see Volver; I've heard it is very good.

Wow, such a great project, but I am a sucker for anything with a leaf motif...

This is such a cute top. Will definitely keep this one in mind... the lace panel is very pretty!
I just got Volver in the mail from Netflix - hoping to watch it today :)

I MUST get to a book store!!
I lived on Sassy. I think I have spoken the words "Everything I needed to know about life I learned from Sassy". A couple of months ago we found a years worth of Sassy's at a thrift store. Sadly though it was after the great takeover & shift to teen crap. Sigh....
I do love your lace top. I need a good lace tee and I might have the yarn in stash!

if your comment isn't showing up right away it's probably because my spam filter has decided that 8 out of the last 10 comments containing "sassy" or "lace" were spam. i think i've fixed it, but those comments weren't being delivered to my email box, so i can't respond. :) thanks for reading!

Your top looks great, I haven't seen that pattern before. Mental note :)

OMG, I think your lace leaf tee is the exact same yarn as mine, same color and everything!
I LOVED Sassy, I kept the very first issue! Let us know how you like that book. I hadn't heard of it.

Oh! Such a cute top! I love it! I really must get over my aversion to short sleeved knits.

i loved volver-and penelope's knitted tops. also, i think the color with your vine panel is perfect for spring.

That green lace tee is so pretty. You've inspired me to try something similar - adapting a top-down raglan tee and inserting a lace pattern down the front. thanks!

I DO remember your leaf tee from long ago on Craftster...and the brown version is adorable!

I feel famous!!! Thanks to you I am a D-List celebrity blogger! ;-)
Sadly, I had to frog and start over. I made the tee too big. That coupled with my ongoing weight loss meant it was literally hanging off me. The new version is going well and on track size wise.
The pattern is a snap to follow and your choice of yarn and color were spot on! Can't wait to finish.

I love the top! And YES!!!! I was a Sassy reader. I also had it from the start and was just thinking about the mag a few weeks ago!

I finally started a blog - here's the one I made earlier this year - still wearing it with pride! Thanks again for the great pattern.

I LOVED Sassy! It was the only teen magazine I read. I still get angry thinking about when it changed over to the usual teen drivel.
