garter love the sequel front

knit.1 garter yoke

knit.1 garter yoke back

i really wanted to write up a pattern for my garter yoke cardigan , and when the opportunity arose to have it included in the fall/winter issue of knit.1, i jumped at the chance.
this is the version i knit for the magazine in the lovely plymouth royal llama silk, over a 2 week period in august. these photos were taken moments before i said goodbye to it forever. i'll see it soon, but on someone else, in the pages of the magazine. it's scheduled to hit newsstands on december 16th. i'm pretty darn excited about the whole thing.

if you're looking for it on ravelry, you can find it here.

i have another finished sweater to blog about too. my drop collar cabled jacket is done and blocking. see you in a few!

yay! I am excited for your pattern to come out. I love the sweater in this colour too, although perhaps the grey is my favourite.

Yaaaaay! I can't wait to knit your pattern!!

That's great news! You're published as a designer in a Vogue magazine. Holy smack!

Congrats! That's quite the achievement. You deserve to be included as much as the other great bloggers that they profiled. I can't wait to see the issue!

congratulations! i've always loved your first cardigan and now i'm pleased that i can make it too :)

Congrats! This is going to be a great issue of the magazine. Can't wait to see it. Love your design. It looks great on you, too!

YOU'RE excited??? I've been thinking about this sweater since you posted about it. I have the yarn I want to use and kept thinking that I should just go ahead and try to figure it out myself. Now I don't have to go through the headache of it - YAY! I was excited about the magazine coming out before but now I can't wait! Congrats!!

oh my goodness do i like that cardi! i am all about knitting cardigans right now so it's queued up on ravelry. i'm thinking a greyish-brown yarn maybe . . .

hooray and congratulations! i'm so excited to knit this...i have my yarn ready to go, and my other knitting projects ready to drop at a moment's notice.

Wow, congrats on being published ! This looks like a great issue, I think I'm going to have to get my hands on it !
The cardi looks great too!

Yay! I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this issue. Roll on December 1st! Many congratulations on your inclusion, you must be so super excited!

Very cute!

sweet.

Are you in town this week? I plan on hitting up webs on Fri....

Congratulations! How exciting ... I can't wait to pick up the new issue!

ooh, i love it! the color is awesome, and garter stitch rocks.

That issue is going to be huge! Congrats! Ravelry-ing right now!

Congratulations. Looks like this K1 is going to be one to buy!

congratulations! just added it to my ravelry queue and can't wait to start!

I can't wait to get the pattern. I MUST have this sweater. Now all I have to do is find someplace that sells the magazine.

This is an excellent feminized version of Jared's Cobblestone Pullover. I hope that doesn't offend you - now I'm nervous... It's just that I'm making the Cobblestone for my man right now and I can't help but see the similarities. AND I can't wait to make your cardigan for me! I love garter stitch, but much prefer cardigans to pullovers. I'll be looking for that pattern!

This is great news, considering I've been obsessed with this cardigan since you knit this first one. Woo!

I can't believe how different it looks in this colour too - beautiful.

ACK!!!!

This is stinkin cute!
I have been patiently waiting for this pattern.....is it Dec yet?!?

You did a great job like always!

love the cardigan - its simple and elegant. I am looking forward to the magazine!

I am really looking forward to this issue - lots of pattern that rock, especially this sweater!!!!

Thank you so much for designing this pattern. I have been searching for a cool
cardigan to knit up. It would be the first time I knit a sweater for myself! Thanks again!

I love your pattern. It's one of my favourites in the magazine. I've never seen the yarn but I usually love any yarn with silk in it.

I love this cardigan! I have to say I'm glad I saw it on you first. The second picture just doesn't do it justice. I'll be going out to spend my Christmas money on this little mag.

I love this sweater!!! Where can I find the pattern?

I love this--it is already in my queue.

I just bought this pattern. I've never knitted a sweater before, but I'm just so obsessed with your sweaters that that I figured I at least had to try.

the linf to vogue website is not good. i'd like to buy this pattern
