new pattern!
i have a new pattern available in classic elite's spring/summer pattern book
heron island.
it's the sundance lace bottom tunic (ravelry link)
i knit and wrote the pattern for this in july of last year, and because i couldn't really write about it at the time, i neglected to take photos of the finished garment. luckily, one was snapped when i was nearly done with the whole thing and just trying it on.

i really like the way it was styled for the book. i envisioned it worn over jeans, because i'm a big fan of that short dress/long tunic cover my hips kind of look, but it's nice to see that it looks good this way too.
here, have a look at classic elite's photos:

I have a pattern in another one of their spring books, and as soon as it's posted somewhere else, i'll tell you all about it here too.

Lovely-lovely-lovely!
I love long cover-hip-area-tunic-like things too.
Love the cable-like pattern on the lower part, too. And the fresh-green-apple-colour. Would look great with blue jeans, I agree.
Wish I could find your magazine here in Denmark :o)

i tend to think that longer tunics make me look short, so i try to stay away from them, but this is very cute! i love the color!

i tend to not like long tunics b/c they make me look short, but this is very cute! i love the color. (sorry if this is a duplicate post - i didn't think my first attempt worked!

Your design is beautiful -- love the lace stitch you used.
But, the see-through skirt on the model really makes me want to throw her a slip -- it's cute with the skirt but I always think it's embarrassing when people where white bottoms and you can see what's underneath.

Such brilliant colors! I just dismantled a thrifted cashmere sweater too, but my finished product doesn't look quite so polished.
