knitting school dropout

i have been burning the candle at both ends lately. too busy working, knitting and doing fun things like a new england knits
book signing at slater mill yesterday, to have even a moment to blog about any of it. but, i will use this rare free moment to show you a new knit/pattern that i finished last month.

i feel special. last month i had the chance to work with a very special yarn from one of my favorite dyers, the plucky knitter. not only is sarah just plain sweet, she dyes up some beautiful colorways. my hands down favorite is the one below, called dark & stormy. i designed this loop scarf to use a bit less than 2 skeins (about 300 yds) of the brand-new primo worsted. i've been keeping it under wraps until the yarn becomes available. and now, you'll be able to get you hands on some tonight at 4pm est!

this pattern is knit in the round and can be worn doubled to keep your neck extra warm. it's pretty rib and lace pattern makes it nice enough for indoor wear. i wear this about 5x a week and often keep it on all day at work when it's chilly inside. it is my very favorite of my accessory designs. i hope you like it too. like my other self-published designs, the pattern includes both written and charted instructions because i know some knitters prefer one over the other. pattern is available as a pdf download for $5.
