Cast On! Bind Off! (a giveaway!)

I am so excited to blog about a book that I have been anxiously awaiting for what seems like ages. The author is a very lovely coworker of mine, Leslie Ann Bestor. Cast On, Bind Off
is a wonderful collection of 54 methods of, you guessed it, casting on and binding off.
I'm definitely guilty of using only a handful of methods in all the knitting I do. Traditional, Long-tail, Backwards Loop, and 3 -Needle; these appear over and over in many of my patterns. This book is a great new addition to my knitting library, as I always enjoy learning something new. It's loaded with clear instructions, lots of step-by-step pictures and even includes suggestions of when each method will be most useful, and even some of the pros or cons of each. Best of all, this book is small and spiral-bound. It's great for toting around in your bag, and will lie flat in front of your work when needed.
I am happy to be able to offer one copy of this book up to a lucky winner. Just leave a comment by the end of August 7th, 2012 and I'll announce the winner the next day. I'll use a random number generator to choose the winning comment. Entries are welcome from any country.
Good luck!

I love when book companies do blog tours like this. I also love how this is a focused look on such 'basic' steps to knitting. Which I always have a headache whenever I play around with different ones! *fingers crossed*

Thanks for this giveaway.
The edges of a knitted object can be a make or brake deal, so cast-on and bind-of are very important. We are spending so much time knitting something that it has to look great all the way. This book seems to be a great resource to find the perfect solutions to any given project.
Posted by: Cecile | August 1, 2012 09:42 AM
Oh, to have that info in one place would be heaven!! I usually resort to cable cast-on as I can never find which magazine had the instructions for the called-for cast-on :(

If you’re not really covered by a few comprehensive insurance coverage, you’ll have numerous serious issues. Appreciate your revealing your guidance on this amazing site.
