a crooked little baby bonnet

it has been SUCH a long time since i've put out a new pattern! i have been working on quite a few, and i expect to be releasing them all, gradually, over the next few weeks.

here's the first, a little lace bonnet for my sweet baby, stella. can you believe that she's 6 months old already? it's such a fun age!

i've been knitting some tiny versions of some of my hats for her lately. this one is a variation on my crooked paths beret. it's the same stitch pattern, but in a bonnet-shape, with i-cord ties under the chin. the stretchy lace pattern and ties make it a great fit for most babies from 6-18 months.

this hat is worked flat and has a small seam up the back. you will need the following skills to complete it:
knit, purl, yo, ssk, k2tog, basic seams, i-cord, casting on, binding off.

it uses just 100 yards of a worsted-weight yarn (i used some cashmere leftovers from cecily)!
